Bob Solosko, a wonderful musician from Massachusetts will join him. They will do lots of old-time tunes and songs from the southern Appalachians with different combinations of instruments---- banjo, guitar and fiddle. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ On Sunday, at 12:00 Noon, ALAN will give an instructional workshop on banjo, “Clawhammer Banjo 101.” This is for beginning clawhammer banjo players and will cover the basic “bum-ditty”stroke, drop thumb, double thumbing, slides and whatever else we have time for. One of Alan's workshops will be with daughter Julia Friend--- they will sing traditional songs, some with instrumental accompaniment, some a capella, and some in harmony.
